I finally got to try Handlebar! I’ve been dying to try this place for almost a year now but just didn’t find the time or energy to do so. Since my Special Proceedings class was canceled I decided to drag BF to Handlebar to have a burger and a beer.

Upon entering handlebar first thing you’ll notice are the seats. They’re like small drums with cushions. Flags and T-shirts are hanging all over the place. I told BF that the place reminded me of the movie “Coyote Ugly” and I was just expecting girl-bartenders to dance on top of the tables or something. Nonetheless, this is my kind of place. Full of character.

Makati people and foreigners enjoying some beer after work.
We decided to order a burger and some fish and chips. We were shocked at the huge portions! Wow! Food is good to share..so SHARE. We weren’t able to finish everything so we had to take home almost half of my fish and chips. Really worth the price. American servings!

What a HUGE burger! Incredibly satisfying with loads of fries and veggies! SOLID COMFORT FOOD!

Some classic fish and chips! I loved that it wasn’t oily. The batter was light so it wasn’t overwhelming. I love the fries and the mayo dip (I think they put some spices in the dip, delish!)

A warning to my female friends though (as if hindi ako female noh?) don’t venture here alone especially past 9pm. All sorts of people come here..you know what I mean. It’s a stone’s throw away from Makati’s red light district so you know BUT you have to try it since it’s really cool :) I’ve yet to try the steaks but I shall return…after LENT. hehe:)
