I’ve been hearing about Kape Isla in the blogosphere. Ok! So what’s all the fuss about? I’m not so excited about the coffee here. It’s a cool place to study though. Quiet, but that’s about it. The coffee is not exceptional. I do give them props for promoting Philippine coffee but a lot of things could be improved. I truly believe that Philippine grown coffee has a future but perhaps Kape Isla could do something more. I just can’t put my finger on it.

1) The coffee was too sweet. I hate sweet coffee. The coffee was reasonably priced though and was not entirely worthless so I’d still go back if I want to study in Serendra.

2) The food on display did not look too appetizing. It looked bland and dry.

3) I love the wooden furnitures and the coffee on display. However, the taste of the coffee leaves me wondering if all that wonderful coffee was actually used.

Quiet surroundings, lighted well enough, good place for some reading.

I’d say Kape Isla is just so-so for me. Nothing to get too worked up about. The cafe does serve lunch and dinner also so I think its a good place to study. Quiet, coffee, and reasonably priced food = happy law student. I’d give the place another try though, but only if I’m in the mood.

The peaceful view from Kape Isla.
